HOEPFNER’S KIWI FARM

EUFAULA, OKLAHOMA

HOME OF THE “HARDY” KIWI

MIKE & DONNA  have spent  "15 YEARS"  growing and selling their  "HARDY KIWI" plants.

You may have seen HOEPFNER’s KIWI FARM, featured on such television shows as “Oklahoma Living” with Karen Keith, “Discover Oklahoma” hosted by Jim Buratti, “The Oklahoma Traveler” with Scott Thompson, and “Is This a Great State or What!” by Galen Culver.

An attractive place to visit, their KIWI Vineyard is 17 years old, with beautiful decorative KIWI vines growing in a climbing fashion on the carport, up the sides of buildings, along the fences and arbors, in big pots and hanging baskets.  Here Mike and Donna are sitting beneath a beautiful Kiwi Arbor.

No matter the season in which you visit, their KIWI are always lovely to gaze upon.  In April, young leaves begin to appear with their lush green color, signaling the arrival of Spring.  Gorgeous blossoms that leave a “Lily of the Valley” scent lingering in the air, begin to appear in May, when there is no danger of frost.  All through summer, the young fruit is maturing and gives way to ripe, deliciously sweet fruit from August until the first frost of winter.

Every year visitors from all over the US tour the KIWI Farm to marvel at the beauty and serenity found here.  They also learn just how easy it is to plant and care for “Hardy” KIWI.  About the size of a large grape with a smooth skin (no need to peel), “Hardy” KIWI can be planted twelve months out of the year and have a wonderfully high fruit production.  Visitors can also purchase "Kiwi Honeysuckle" perfume and glycerin soap.

“Hardy” KIWI withstand cold winter temperatures and never need spraying with insecticides, thus yielding sweet, healthy, delicious fruit for 50 years.  There are three types of KIWI plants; the male plant serves as the pollinator, the female plant is the producer, and as its name implies, the self-pollinator does the job of both male and female.

Mike and Donna enjoy giving FREE KIWI Tours everyday, even until sundown.  Whether your group consists of one or many makes no difference to them.
